Carol joined me on a walk this morning. We noticed a few duck's with their babies. No bike riders today, Just walkers. There was this one guy, sitting in a chair, right by the water, with 50 ducks and geese all around him. He had a big bag of bread crumbs and was feeding the ducks and geese at his feet. If I see him there again I might start calling him the bird man. We'll see.
Walked twice around the pond. That's 3 miles. I saw the same guy twice, so that means other people walk around twice too! There was a little girl learning how to teach her dog how to sit, and elderly group fishing, and an Asian group sitting on lots of benches. There was also a mom with a bunch of kids on scooters, one was on a bike. He couldn't ride so well. An accident waiting to happen. I listened to Pandora on my iPhone 1.0. Sweet!
I've been so annoyed with bicycle riders around here lately. I love riding a bike and have commuted by bike in the past. I get how dangerous it is and am always sure to give plenty of leeway.
However, bikes are vehicles. They don't go belong on sidewalks. They don't cross in a crosswalk (unless being walked). They don't switch between the 2 with abandon. They are vehicles and should be ridden with the same care.
As for bikes around the pond - there are areas WAY too narrow for that. They need some sort of "severe tire damage" things for bikes or something.
Walked the pond. Lots of dogs being walked. All sizes. One dog had his eye on me. Followed me as I walked past. Nothing happened though. He seemed tired. Yesterday's graffiti art has been washed away.

Two bicyclists rode past me. It's illegal to rides bikes around the pond. A few years ago a biker knocked down my mother in law.
