I want to run a marathon
#iwant1I started July 1 in horrible shape. I want to run a marathon on March 1, 2009 and am working on building a base before I get into the real training. Real training begins on or around October 1, 2007 and this is the progress so far.
Update - I am doing an 18 week training program that starts this Monday, October 13th.

pretty pretty pretty slow. I didn't have the watch with me but could feel how slow I was going. My legs felt so weak at times, like they were buckling underneath me.

So they just announced they are changing the date of the race AGAIN. This time they're moving it back 3 months. I can't effing believe it. There's no way I can maintain this training for an extra 3 months. I have to decide what to do but I'm thinking if I do 20-25 miles a week for the next 2 months and then start the 18 week program again I should be even stronger and more prepared. I don't know though, it's really frustrating to have to wait even longer now.

1:45:40. That was so painful. I can't believe how much my stomach, calves, feet, and knees hurt after that. And it's not even half a marathon....
