Real World MPG
#realworldThough I would prefer an all electric car which uses no gas, my Prius generally gets good enough gas mileage to make me happy. Nevertheless, I have noticed that the MPG varies quite a bit from tank to tank, depending on a number of factors, so I am starting to track it here.

Honestly, I'm very pleased to hear that. I was just having fun. There is little I hate more than wasting more gas and time being stuck behind someone trying to save theirs.
Then again, that is probably more of an issue here in the bay area than down in LA.

I don't know if I am prepared to go that far, I think I appreciate A/C and passing slowpokes more than the hypermilers do. Nevertheless, I do what I can to avoid unnecessary changes in acceleration as much as I can to maximize within reason.

You should do the whole hypermiling thing some Prius owners do and get it up to 100.

WOW. my mileage sucks. Aaron's is pretty good with his mini, but I have to take one for the team and drive a giant car.

I forgot to mention, the image for this zeaLOG was actually taken in my car during one of my best weeks (51.2 mpg). I hope to beat it!
