finally ... got my arse to the library ... applied for a card ... and even read a book!!! The Girl She Used to Be by David Cristofano ... an ironic fictional love story about a woman who 'grew up' in the witness protection program. Light reading ... didn't really blow my mind ... but ... decent quick read.
i'm trying to make myself feel smarter by reading 500 pg. children's books in 1-2 days tops.
still have james joyce's ulysses, that my friends have been harping on me for years to read.
i's skeered.
this is so, so sad. the only on-paper, non-fashion related thing-with-words i've read lately is "Smithsonian" magazine. (my boss gives me her copies when she's done with them)
yeah ... i think my new routine will be ... to read the tech stuff during my two hour commute into work ... and then read the fun stuff on my two hour commute home. ;)
Every time i look at a facebook profile that shows all the books someone has read ... i kick myself for not getting to the library and picking up a fun book to read. TECH books are not allowed!! This one is for pure fun ... no geeking out!
