Thinking about how much weight in conjunction with the way I perceive myself in the mirror is strange. I always thought the psycho babble about how people who lose large amounts of weight still see themselves as fat in the mirror was untrue, but to be honest I don't see a change in the way I look. Certainly those around me see the change, and I feel the change wearing clothes/sizes that I haven't fit in for years. But I truly don't see it in the mirror (granted I still have a long way to go). If it weren't for a record of the numbers, I probably would haven given in to despair and resumed old habits.
