PUR's 2-stage filters used to have an automatic shutoff when they reached the end of their filtering goodness so you knew when to replace them. With the new model there is no shutoff. You either replace them every couple months or take a guess when you've filtered 40 gallons (640 cups) or so. Enter Zealog!
