Me, too! Every now and then, usually in the summer, I try to listen to my lesson CDs/mp3s in the car on my way to my bowling leagues. That usually lasts for about a month.

You mean Google doesn't have an audio translator yet?

I keep wanting to learn more French. I can get by in an emergency, but that's about it.

I found these cd's INCREDIBLY useful. http://www.amazon.com/Miche... (OK, these aren't the exact same as mine was an 8 disc set and this looks like it isn't released yet, but I'm sure it's the same style).

They're not cheap, but for the limited amount of time it takes to listen and do them, they are amazingly powerful. They aren't structured like most language learning - in a great way. It focuses on the similarities to English first so you start with the easy stuff - of which there is a ton. To quote Voltaire, "English is just French badly pronounced."

Also, I recently signed up for a free online language course at http://www.livemocha.com/ . It seems to be rely on some sort of social networking aspect where people help other people, but considering I've done nothing more than sign up and get weekly (non)progress reports, I can't really say.

Bonne chance!

I temporarily gave up on Spanish, and I've been trying to learn French off and on for like 3 years. Anyway... I don't have time to take a class or do Rosetta Stone at the moment, but I'm at least trying to immerse myself by listening to a French podcast twice a week. This is to track how much time I spend on it.
