Super Slimdown
#slimdownBegun June 1, 2008. I tried the South Beach plan and was successful (18 pounds lost). But then I got complacent. And heavier. My continuing effort to lighten the load. Join in the fun! // This is how I summarize the South Beach rules. Eat lots of veggies and salad, cheese and eggs, moderate portions of meat. Small portions of whole grains. Avoid the white versions of things (flour, sugar, rice). Red wine is permitted. Potatoes and beer are the devil.

The photo is of the SB Cheesy Frittata on p129 of the original blue book. It's not the yummy one I made this morning, but it is one of the better-looking ones I've ever produced, with the top toasted just so in the broiler. Mm, mm, good!
