I use one from Reebok that I got on woot.com one day for $30, but it's about $70 bucks normally:
http://www.amazon.com/Reebo...
I hear very good things about the Polar brand too. Mine has a chest strap, and they say those are more accurate than the strapless ones.
I wear it during all my exercise - walking, classes at the gym, etc - and really like having the extra data. I'm on Weight Watchers so it helps me figure out how many Activity Points I've earned. :)
speaking of personal heart rate monitors, i saw one on amazon deals the other morning on *sale* for @$250! do you really need to spend for a good one? just wondering...
we want to get 2 for us (eventually), but at that price, we'll just stuff it onto random holiday gift lists we are forced to participate in.
yeah, i just looked over the calendar, the journal, etc. doesn't seem to let you review calories burned, just a check mark that you did the workout for the day. womp-wah. i did see that during (and immediately following) the workout, though. will pay more attention today/onward.
:/
It tells you the calories burned with the little ticker in the upper left corner as you work out, and also tells you the total at the end, but I'm not sure where that is stored longterm. Is there a calendar in the 30 Day Challenge menu where you can see the previous days? (I don't have access right now to look)
where are you guys finding the calories burned in the profile? i looked over my 'journal' and i just get percentages. using own heartrate/cal monitors?
In my constant quest to get into shape, I'm doing the 30 Day Challenge in the EA Sports Active game for the Wii. I'm hoping the fun new gadget factor will distract me from the fact that I'm working out. Feel free to jump in!

it's weird that you can't pull up details of past workouts.
