YEAH! Just rocked that same run that Kelly did yesterday.
I'm thinking that my vacation runs were slightly less that 2.5 miles, because I was running full-out (at 6.3 on the treadmill) to make 2.5 miles in 30 minutes. And I don't think I was running that fast at the beach (update: I was able to edit and fix my entries!!).
Snappy, you can do it! I had terrible shinsplints the first 3 weeks. Part of it is getting your muscles used to running, and part of it is getting decent shoes. If you can afford it, get to a shoe store and let them fit you with something that will help.
One of my friends told me early on, you have to trust the program. Thousands of people have become runners by following the program. YOU CAN DO IT! YES, YOU CAN!
