i actually like target's plastic bags for litterbox scooping. when i go there, i ask if i can take "a few" extra bags while pointing to the smaller bag rack. when they say 'go ahead', i lift a chunk of 10+.
One of my resolutions for 2009 is to use fewer plastic bags. I'm going to put the zillion or so canvas totes I own in my car and travel with them. I'm thinking that knowing just how many bags I waste in a year might be just the catalyst I need.

plus with grocery store bags being so thin, you have to double them up anyway. good score, really.
and god, i'm thinking that they don't have that 'build a box' video/how-to for kids to watch when hired as bagging clerks anymore.
