Used two paper bags at the grocery store today, but I don't feel too bad because I bought a bunch of heavy stuff to donate to a food drive, so it won't be staying at home.
I was wracked with guilt at not having grabbed my shopping bag out of my trunk when we took my dad's car to Wal-Mart down at my grandmother's, and having to take one plastic bag for the things I bought. We had 5 plastic bags altogether that day.

One of my resolutions for 2009 is to use fewer plastic bags. I'm going to put the zillion or so canvas totes I own in my car and travel with them. I'm thinking that knowing just how many bags I waste in a year might be just the catalyst I need.
